Winter Weather Advisory issued January 12 at 1:13AM PST expiring January 12 at 12:00PM PST by NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CAAlert
An upper level low will move across Southwestern California this
morning, bringing periods of snow to the mountains. Snow levels
will mostly be around 6000 feet, but due to the convective nature
of the precipitation, could lower to between 5000 and 5500 feet at
times. Snow accumulations are expected to average 3 to 6 inches
above 6000 feet, with local totals up to 8 inches possible. Snow
accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are possible between 5000 and 6000
feet. Scattered snow showers are expected to linger this afternoon

accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are possible between 5000 and
6000 feet. Areas of southeast to south winds 15 to 25 mph with
gusts to 40 mph are expected, which could cause some blowing
snow as well.

Mountains excluding the Santa Monica Range.
* WHEN...Now until noon PST today.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on difficult travel conditions. Be
prepared for slippery roads and reduced visibilities.

roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
