Winter Weather Advisory issued January 12 at 3:25AM EST expiring January 12 at 11:00AM EST by NWS Louisville KY


A storm system moving in from the Plains region has brought
wintry weather to the region. Most of the precipitation has been
snow so far, but there could be periods of sleet and freezing rain
later this morning. This may result in light ice accumulations.
Wintry precipitation will gradually transition to rain Saturday
morning and afternoon from south to north.
* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of one to three
inches expected. Light ice accumulations due to freezing
rain and sleet may be possible.

* WHERE...Portions of and south central Indiana and east central
and north central Kentucky.

* WHEN...Until 11 AM EST /10 AM CST/ Saturday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions,
especially on secondary roads that are untreated.


A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered roads
and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
