Winter Weather Advisory issued January 11 at 1:21PM PST expiring January 12 at 6:00PM PST by NWS San Diego CAAlert
A low pressure system moving inland through Southern California
will create areas of snow for late tonight through midday
Saturday with occasional snow showers Saturday afternoon. Light
flurries are possible Saturday evening.
* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4
inches, with localized amounts up to 8 inches, are expected.
* WHERE...Mountains above 6000 feet. Some accumulating snow is
possible down to around 5500 feet.
* WHEN...From 4 AM to 6 PM PST Saturday. The most widespread
snowfall is expected through noon Saturday with occasional
snow showers in the afternoon.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on difficult travel conditions. Be
prepared for reduced visibilities at times.
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
