Winter Weather Advisory issued January 11 at 11:31AM CST expiring January 12 at 6:00PM CST by NWS Des Moines IA


A winter storm system will bring a long duration, light to
moderate snowfall beginning after sunset this evening and
tapering off late in the day Saturday. The highest snowfall
amounts are forecast along and south of Highway 34.
* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches
expected, with the higher amounts near the Iowa Missouri border

* WHERE...Generally along and south of Interstate 80.

* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 6 PM CST Saturday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel could be very difficult. The
hazardous conditions could impact evening travel and travel
Saturday. Snowfall amounts may be slightly adjusted yet by this
