Update to NWS-IDP-PROD-2775137-2587818 NWS-IDP-PROD-2775136-2587817

Winter Storm Watch issued April 16 at 10:14PM CDT expiring April 19 at 1:00AM CDT by NWS La Crosse WI

Alert

Winter will make another visit to the area Wednesday with more
snow and possibly a wintry mix for some locations. Mostly snow is
expected across much of southeast Minnesota into the northern
tier of counties across northeast Iowa where snowfall amounts
near 6 inches will be possible.

Some light icing could occur late Tuesday night into Wednesday
morning across parts of northeast Iowa before the precipitation
completely changes over to snow.

Roads could become snow and ice covered Wednesday, especially in
moderate to heavy snowfall. The Wednesday morning and evening
commutes may become hazardous.

There still may be some shifts in the storm track which will
dictate precipitation types and where the higher amounts will
fall. Pay close attention to the latest forecasts for updates.
* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation possible. Total snow
accumulations of 4 to 6 inches with localized higher amounts
and ice accumulations of a light glaze are possible.

* WHERE...Portions of north central and northeast Iowa and
southeast Minnesota.

* WHEN...From late Tuesday night through late Wednesday night.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan for the possibility of difficult
travel conditions, including during the morning and afternoon
commute on Wednesday. Significant reductions in visibility are
also possible.
